It's sort of what I did in Diamond, and it was fun enough to do again! What I'm most likely to do is raise several "teams" during the course of the game. In months past, I've considered raising a Scizor, Crobat, Umbreon, Sableye, Chimecho, and Yanmega. I know for certain that I'll have Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Mareep, at the very least. In fact, my choices are sort of haphazard with little regard to strategy. Well, I'm not dead set on a complete team just yet. Haven't YOU always wanted that extra pokeball that gets left over on the professor's desk? I know I've spent too many years looking at that lonely ball long after completing Gold and Crystal version. I'm having a little bit of fun with this, and making it so that it would seem that Professor Elm gave me the Cyndaquil after Chickorita is stolen by the rival, maybe in an attempt to get it back? Well, it sounds like fun to me. Totodile all the way! Though, at the very first opportunity I get, I'll be trading a Cyndaquil egg over from Platinum as well. I almost don't have a choice in this matter. Her design, while cute, just doesn't appeal to me as much as as Gold's does-which is really unfair, as Gold has always been my favorite game protagonist. Secondly, I haven't really been terribly fond of the female trainer, named Kotone in Japan and Lyra in the English version.

Firstly, there's that nostalgia value again. However, this time around, I may break that double x chromosome streak, and for a few reasons. Well, Since Crystal version came out, I have gladly always chosen the female trainer, being that I am in fact a female. Which trainer will you be? Male or Female? All in all, nostalgia may win out, and I'll just have to wait until I arrive in Kanto to get Lugia. The both of us have nearly completed pokedexes (more on that later), so neither of us are really worried about obtaining pokemon. I'm really leaning toward Heart Gold, even though my roommate is also getting that game as well. So, do I go with my favorite legendary pokemon, or do I stick to nostalgia, of which I'm such a fan of? Not even the version differences really sways me either way.

However, I also adore Lugia, the legendary pokemon that represents Silver. I mentioned it in my last journal, but I had Gold version growing up, and invested many hours of my life playing it. Well, this one is a little tricky for me. I suppose, since this IS a journal, I'll divulge some tidbits on what I'll be doing with the long anticipated remake of my FAVORITE GAMES EVER. News in the future of pokemon couldn't be brighter than it is now! Not to mention the relatively fresh news of a confirmed FIFTH GENERATION. Now, with the release date looming ever closer, and a mere nineteen days away, I'm incredibly excited.

Poke_journalerIt has been nearly ten months since I last updated this journal with news of the Generation II remakes Heart Gold and Soul Silver, and MUCH has happened.
